Khartoum Renews Call to the SPLM-N to Accept Humanitarian Access Initiative

Khartoum – The Sudanese government renewed its call to the SPLM-N to accept the humanitarian assistance access to the affected persons in the SPLM-N controlled areas in South Kordofan and the Blue Nile.
Presidential Aide, Dr. Faisal Hassan Ibrahim said that the government accepted the UN initiative three month ago, adding that the international community is waiting for the SPLM-N acceptance.
He said in press statements, while attending the departure of peace support humanitarian convoy heading to South Kordofan and Blue Nile, that the government is keen to dispatch the humanitarian assistance through save corridors, affirming that this is the fifth convoy dispatched to the two areas.
For his part, HAC Commissioner, Ahmed Mohammed Adam said that the cost of the convoy exceeded SDG11 billion as it includes food and shelter materials to support peace, pointing out that the two areas witnessed voluntary return from Ethiopia and the SPLM-N controlled areas.
