Khartoum- The Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan (CBOS), Dr. Mohamed Khair Al Zubair, has announced that new banknote of SDG100 denomination would be introduced as of early next February. He said in a press statement following the meeting of the Council of Ministers Thursday that the CBOS presented a report to the Cabinet on the situation of provision of the banknotes, pointing out that the new banknotes of SDG100 denomination would be received from the Sudan Currency Printing Press on the 28th of current month of January prior to introducing it into circulation by early next February.
Meanwhile, the CBOS disclosed the plan of the bank for the issuance of the other banknotes of SDG200 and SDG500 denominations during the coming stage, indicating that they would reach a final solution to the issue of the provision of banknotes during the months of February and March.
