Al Bashir: Attempts to Replicate so-called Arab Spring in Sudan

Khartoum- President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al Bashir said yesterday that there are circles that exaggerate the events Sudan witness now through media means and social media and work to replicate the so-called Arab Spring in Sudan. President Al Bashir referred to the existence of a problem but it is not of the volume circulated by the media, saying that the Sudanese people, who are well aware, would no avail the chance for whoever attempts to destabilize the security and stability of the Sudan. President Al Bashir was speaking in a joint press conference with his Egyptian counterpart Abdul-Fattah Al-Sisi in Cairo yesterday. Al Bashir accused organizations of working to destabilize security and stability in the area, pointing out that he explained to President Al Sisi the reality of the situations in Sudan.
He referred to the visit paid by a high-level Egyptian delegation to Sudan recently, affirming that it is an important message that shows support of Egypt to the stability of Sudan, noting that the rights of Egypt and Sudan in the Nile waters should not be affected. Al Bashir went on to say that Sudan and Egypt are linked with common destiny, affirming that the Sudanese-Egyptian relations have remained stable and developed since the coming of President Al Sisi to power, referring to the existence of joint projects of electricity interconnection and linking the two countries with railways to serve the African continent as a whole. President Al Sisi, on his part, welcomed his Sudanese counterpart Al Bashir, expressing his pleasure over the visit, which he said, reflects the deep rooted relations and strong bonds linking the two sisterly countries.
He said they discussed boosting joint commercial cooperation and the joint projects between the two countries, such as the electricity interconnection. The talks also touched on the issues of concern between Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia pertinent to the Renaissance Dam besides the developments in the Horn of Africa, referring to the close coordination to boost the joint interests between the two sisterly peoples.
President Al Sisi added that this is the eighth meeting between him and President Al Bashir, saying that history proves that Egypt and Sudan are linked with eternal bonds.
