Authorities Arrest 9 defendants on Looting Pharmacy in Umbadda

Khartoum – Police authorities managed to arrest 6 defendants and filed a case against them on looting Al-Rahma Pharmacy at Makkah Medical Complex in Umbadda Locality.
On the 20th of January a group of demonstrators attacked private property during illegal demonstrations in the town of Umbadda in Omdurman. They also looted Al-Hikma pharmacy and assaulted one of the workers at the pharmacy, causing harm. They broke glass barriers and stole money and medicines.
Informed sources reported that police arrested three other defendants under articles 77/69/182 of the Criminal Code after destroying surveillance cameras in Burri district.
The culprits admitted their looting the pharmacy after threatening the staff with knives.
Meanwhile, the investigation police recognized the culprits through the surveillance cameras of the pharmacy
