Attorney General: Investigations with Security Personnel and Detainees on Death of Teacher

Khartoum- The Attorney General, Omer Ahmed Mohamed, has disclosed that the prosecution has made investigations with a number of persons who had been detained with late teacher Ahmed Al Khair of Khasm Al Ghirba and some personnel of the National Intelligence and Security Service besides the physician, who conducted the autopsy, indicating that they have received the initial autopsy and that the public prosecution is awaiting the final report to know the reasons of death.
This came when the Attorney General met a delegation of the Education Trade Union, led by Abbas Mohamed Ahmed, at the premises of the Public Prosecution.
The Attorney General affirmed that he has directed all heads of the prosecution offices to speed up the investigations, affirming that the public prosecution is the sole body mandated to deal with the criminal issues at the pre-trial level.
