Sudanese Ugandan Summit for Assessing S. Sudan Peace

Khartoum: President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al Bashir and the Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni have agreed on holding a meeting in Juba to evaluate the level of implementing south Sudan agreement and the implemented agreed on items from the part of the signatory parties provided that the convening date is to be specified later on.
The two presidents reviewed in a meeting in Sheraton Hotel in Addis Ababa on Saturday on the sidelines of the African Union Summit Conference bilateral relations between the two countries in the framework of the talks between the two presidents towards enhancing stability in the countries of the region particularly the Republic of South Sudan and how to support peace agreement in it.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Al Dirdiri Mohamed Ahmed said in a press statement following the meeting that the objective of the meeting is evaluating the level of implementation of the agreement and what has been achieved up to now as well as reviewing means of boosting stability in South Sudan.
He added that the two presidents reviewed the possibility of entering in joint projects of integration between Sudan, South Sudan and Uganda with regards to how to develop river transport and the use of the Rive Nile as a link between these three countries.
