EU Provides 715 Thousand Euro for Integrated Education

Khartoum – Director of the Integrated Education Project, Siham Boulad revealed that the European Union supported and provided 715 thousand euro for the project of integrating children with disabilities in education for three years.
In the enlightening workshop for media on the said project, Boulad stressed the importance of the integrated education for children with disabilities in general education, pointing to the success of the experiment in Gedaref State and that the project targeting 150 children with disabilities, besides to address dropouts, praising the efforts of Gadaref State and its support to the project, and the great cooperation of the Ministry of Education and teachers, adding that 73 children have been enrolled in the said schools this year.
For his part, coordinator of the information campaign for the program of integrated education for children with disabilities, Atef Al Bahr called on all institutions to include people with disabilities in plans and programs, stressing the empowerment of persons with disabilities legally, which contributed to the creation of a big breakthrough in this aspect..
