Doha: Qatar Charity (QC) continues to implement the Taiba Complex, a multi-service project for the benefit of 400 orphans, in the Khartoum State, costing more than QR10m. This comes as part of Qatar Charity’s continuous efforts in the implementation of qualitative projects to serve orphans with generous support from benefactors in Qatar.
The 7,720-sqm complex project aims at providing an educational, health, and social environment for orphans and developing their skills and abilities. Some 80 percent of the project has been completed and is expected to be fully ready in May.
The project consists of a foundation school, a secondary school, an orphanage, an activity hall, a health centre, sports grounds, accommodation for supervisors and administrative offices.
The Taiba Complex is an integrated system that will effectively contribute to the creation and provision of a positive environment conducive to the development of the personality of an orphan and the improvement of his skills. The complex will provide care required by orphans in the fields of health, education, accommodation, sports, rehabilitation, training and development in addition to many programmes and facilities that will contribute to the improvement of the orphans’ capacities in order to prepare them to live and enjoy a normal live.
