Finance Ministry to Open the Door for Importation of Flour Soon

Khartoum – Prime Minister, Dr. Mohamed Tahir Aila directed the need to tighten coordination between the ministries of the economic sector for macroeconomic management in a way that leads to the improvement of indicators of economic performance.
During his meeting with the Acting Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Mustafa Houli, Aila directed to continue to import flour to ensure the provision of bread to citizens.
Houli said that the meeting touched on the importance of exerting more effort in the field of electronic collection in order to increase the public revenues of the state, pointing out that the Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Finance to take the necessary measures to provide the requirements for harvesting wheat crop, stressing that his ministry will open in the coming days the door for importing flour, in the implementing of Prime Minister’s directives.
Houli said that the meeting also dealt with the procedures related to ensuring the flow of fuel, noting that the Prime Minister directed the need to increase domestic production of oil, explaining that he briefed the Prime Minister on the performance of the state budget for the year 2019, indicating that the overall performance of the budget is going well, and that the ministry met all strategic obligations on the wage, adding that he briefed the Prime Minister on the measures taken on the control, management and guidance of commodities’ subsidize to stop wasting resources..
