Khartoum- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has lauded the visit paid to the country by the donors team delegation and its timing, affirming stability of the situations in Darfur and implementation of the arrangements for exit of the UNAMID mission.
This came when Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs and International Cooperation Ambassador Elham Mohamed Ahmed met Sunday the visiting donors team delegation.
Ambassador Elham referred to the efforts of the government for supporting the voluntary returnees in the various states of Darfur, reaffirming commitment of the government to Doha document on peace and the cease-fire declared by the President of the Republic.
She called on the international community to encourage the holdouts to join the peace process.
The Assistant Undersecretary also referred to the stability of the situations in South Kordofan and Blue Nile States, affirming commitment of the government to facilitation of delivery of humanitarian aid to the affected areas.
The head of the donors delegation, meanwhile, expressed thanks for facilitation of the visit of the 29-member delegation of donor countries, indicating that the visit comes to see all aspects of the humanitarian operations of OCHA and coordination with the UN country team in Sudan.
