French Company Confirms Participation in the World Gum Arabic Conference in Sudan

Khartoum-The French Company Aland Rober confirmed its participation in the World Gum Arabic Conference in Sudan in May During his meeting in Paris with the Secretary General of the Gum Arab Council, chairman of the committee of the programs of the conference, Dr. Abdul Majid Abdul Gadir and Hashim Al-Digair, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the French company confirmed his personal participation, directing some staff of his organization to prepare for this event adopted by the United Nations.
The meeting came in the framework of the international mobilization of European companies to contribute effectively in the success of the conference
It was agreed that the said company would participate in an exhibition on the story of the company’s development and its success in the field of gum Arabic in two centuries.
  The company is one of the oldest European companies specialized in the import and manufacture of gum arabic, and its imports from Sudan about twenty thousand tons annually and distributes to the countries of Western Europe and the United States of America.
 On the other hand, the Permanent Representative of Sudan in Geneva, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail said that preparations are under way for the first conference of countries producing gum Arabic in Africa that hosted by Khartoum, and will be held on the first of next May.
During the Enlightenment meeting held in Geneva for the ambassadors of the gum-producing countries, in the presence of representatives of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Ismail discussed the proposed program of the conference and the forthcoming decisions as the outcomes of the meeting to be adopted by the ministers of commerce, industry and agriculture, producers, which represented in the establishment of gum Arabic research center and an international stock exchange associated with international stock exchanges, regarding gum Arabic products.
