In continuation to what I have mentioned in (1\3) below, we here give another example, of active e-machinery, which we could find in drones. This kind of e-driven drone is used to achieve many normal and sensitive duties in replacement for human beings. Drones are used to deliver risky and non-risky items, for photography, videos and other missions. Also, they are now used in military purposes and wars to bombard certain targets, this is serious.
However, there are many risks associated to such work, as drones may detour and go to a different place or while going to the designated area they may trespass over others personal property without consent or even knowledge. Such instances are examples of clear breach of law. In other words, by roaming all over to serve someone, they may encroach the privacy of others or cause dangers or hazards. A conflict of interest and breach of law could arise. The role of drones, is of interest due to fast services and for other private civil reasons. However, irrespective of this importance, there is genuine need for certain legislations to preserve the interests and safety of all stakeholders including trespasses. There is urgent need for regulation and full compliance and this will give drones, and the like, more trustful creditability and thus will be of more useful help.
In addition to above, in many countries now, there are no-driver cars or e-cars crossing streets to serve others in replacement for our friendly bus or taxi drivers or other commuters. The invented, self-driven e-cars, are the outcome of (AI). The new e-cars are self-driven and their artificial mind is working under certain technological prepared program for driving. E-cars could give a cheap, fast, confidential service, however, there are many risks to the passenger, items, pedestrians and other innocent users of the road. The taxi driver, normally, is trained to drive and at the same time to control the car in case of emergency, an
were legalized by this law within new legitimate boundaries and provisions. This law gives a good precedent to follow with respect to all new e-inventions. The law could possibly walk along, hand in hand, with new IT technologies and such marriage will certainly give legitimate off-spring for all e-future technologies.
Sure, there are many benefits to humans from machines and machinery. Machines took us from the agricultural and pasture stage to the industrial stage, the 3rd industrial revolution. A very big remarkable jump in human beings history took place due to the 3rd industrial revolution. We have extensively benefited from machines, moreover, we have had the ability to control and utilize them for humans needs. The following consequent 4th industrial revolution, as mentioned, will totally rely on machines and give them the necessary artificial intelligence to be able to do some work by themselves. Earlier we used to control machines, now, it appears that time has come for machines to control humans or to work by themselves apart from humans hands, muscles or minds. Here comes the risk, from the fact that machines are deaf, ductless and lack senses and due to this they could be very dangerous or incapable or impotent to react in certain instances. Such moments create great risk, that could bring catastrophic ends and un-predicable damage.
No doubt, we are in real need for all IT products and inventions including (AI), for an advanced developed future. E-development is the new spirit that we need for the coming IT generation in this IT era. However, to achieve better, secure, save and sustainable results, there is strong imminent need to promulgate necessary advanced legislations. The new legislations are not to handicap the (AI) or other e-development nor to curb or distract new inventions, rather, it should open the way and prepare the legal infrastructure for e-development to grow, blossom and breed all products for the benefit of humans. This could happen by collaboration between legislators and end users.
As good earlier example, we have, the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, (UNCIRAL Model Law 1996). This great work paved the way for e-transactions and e-commerce applications. The new e-transactions, un-programmed traffic signal shut-down, or in case of car queues. In such instance, the self-driven car artificial mind will not react instantaneously as the human mind. Here comes the risk to many stakeholders, therefore, special regulations are needed to have smooth traffic and secured roads free from any ciaos, traffic accidents and waste of time..
We all agree that, legalization of e-inventions will give endless, useful and legal, cyber limits. What more ?.
