Al-Assam Stresses Accountability and Sends Internal and External Messages

Khartoum- The leading figure at the Forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change (FDFC), Dr. Mohamed Naji Al-Assam, has saluted the guests and the families of the martyrs, stressing his welcome to Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, President of South Sudan Salva Kiir, Chadian President Idriss Deby, President of Central African Republic Faustin-Archange Touadera, Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, Mustafa Madbouli, the Egyptian Prime Minister, Ahmed Abul-Gheit, Arab League, OIC Secretary General and Moussa Faki, the Chairperson of African Union Commission.
Addressing the celebrations of signing the constitutional document at the Friendship Hall in Khartoum yesterday, Al-Assam paid tributes to the martyrs, saying that they sacrificed their blood for ending 30 years of the corrupt salvation regime.
He said, “we are celebrating as we miss the martyrs of the general command and the sit-in” who worked hard to complete the revolution, stressing that they will work for the return of the missing, noting that it is a duty in the priorities of the transitional period, stressing the opening of a new page and folding another that cost them three decades of failure.
He stressed that the Declaration of Freedom and Change came to meet the aspirations of the people, pointing out that the issue of war and peace is one of the most important issues of the FDFC and it has been linked to democratic transformation, affirming that they aim at realization of comprehensive peace.
He said that the deposed salvation regime and its president are registered in the book of darkness, stressing that bringing justice to the victims is the most important duties of the government, affirming formation of credible and transparent investigation committee in the killings of the general command and preventing impunity.
Al-Assam said the economic problem is a priority.
  He referred to the devastation made in education, health and discrimination among citizens, saying this requires the transitional government to improve the social fabric because the former regime humiliated women, and they will put an end to all discrimination against them and ensure their rights in law and practice.
Al-Asam said that the deposed salvation regime had destroyed foreign relations and brought against us sanctions and international hegemony and endangered our development march and our task is great to cross from these problems.
He sent several messages where he said that the first message is to the families of the martyrs, noting that the families stood-fast and led the marches of the revolution.
He said that the second message is to the displaced and refugees and said that they are the revolution and gave us all hope and you will have home, school, health, education, peace, tolerance and love, stressing that they will work for comprehensive peace.
He also sent a message to the women and youth of Sudan and neighborhood committees recognizing their major role in the revolution, saying that you will remain the protector of the revolution.
Al-Assam directed another message to Darfur, the East, South Kordofan and every citizen equal citizenship for all and positive discrimination and for professionals, workers and businessmen, you were the support of the revolution and waiting for your progress.
 He said that the other message is to the armed forces and other regular forces, stressing that they marched with them on the way of the revolution and this is their duty you faced obstacles and mistakes have occurred but we believe that the seed of patriotism is full in this institution, pledging that they work together to establish democracy.
Al-Assam sent a message to the National Congress and its partners and said, “our approach will not be revenge, but accountability and fair punishment.”
  He sent another message to the people of South Sudan, where he said: “greetings, longing, love to you.”
as he said his message to all African people is that this land is shared by us together geographically and the history of our country is at the heart of the continent open borders of love and coexistence our hope for the unity of the continent are the African Union.
 He said to the movements of armed struggle to put down arms and our revolution was peaceful and you have contributed to it with blood and tears for citizenship.
