Sudanese Joy: A Step towards Freedom, Peace and Justice

Khartoum- Sudan entered new stage in its history after the final signing of the documents of the transitional government at the Friendship Hall in Khartoum yesterday (Saturday) after their approval by the leaderships of the Transitional Military Council (TMC) and the alliance of the Forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change (FDFC) after marathon talks between the two sides that had proved the ability of the Sudanese to overcome all obstacles and difficulties for the sake of the good of the homeland, reflecting a new Sudanese experience.
The importance of the occasion stems from the wide participation by representatives of countries and the regional and international organizations in the celebrations, which come as a gift to the Sudanese revolutionaries who made big sacrifices to reach this day of the Sudan of freedom, peace, justice and democracy.
Saturday, the 17th of August 2019, constituted a new day of Sudan in its history which is full of heroic events that reflect love of the Sudanese to their homeland. The roads of the Sudanese capital of Khartoum were decorated with the national flag, reflecting the unity and cohesion of the Sudanese people.
The arrangements for occasion of yesterday was preceded by the nomination by the Transitional Military Council to its five members in the Sovereignty Council of the transitional government as the Forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change are naming their representatives in the council. Consensus has also been reached on nomination of Dr. Abdalla Hamdok for the post of prime minister in the transitional civilian authority as well as the chief justice and the attorney general. This reflects the features of the new government that should give top priority to improving the livelihood of the Sudanese citizens by provision of basic services to them.
The joy of the Sudan would be completed by achieving comprehensive peace in the country that is agreed upon by all and that would end grievances and preserve the diversity of the Sudan, which characterizes a unique model in the world.
The joy of the Sudan also is to be completed when the transitional government prepares its priorities and implements them, putting the national interests above all considerations and works for the development of the Sudan and the welfare of its people and removing the problems that have been affecting the Sudan since its independence.
The joy of the country will continue through completion of implementation of the matrix that has been agreed upon for the formation of the civilian authority for the transitional period, whose pillars are peace, freedom, justice, equality and the rule of law.
