Khartoum – The Transitional Military Council (TMC) announced the postponement of issuing the constitutional decree on dissolution of the Military Council and the formation of the Sovereign Council to be announced in the coming hours in response to the request of the Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC) so that they can reach consensus between its components on its list of five candidates for the Sovereignty Council.
Sources told Sudan Vision that the nominated prime minister, Abdallah Hamaduk will arrive today to assume his position.
Head of the TMC Political Committee, Lt. Gen. Shams Al-Din Kabbashi has affirmed their keenness to implement the matrix attached to the Constitutional Declaration concerning the timing of the formation of the structures of the Transitional power.
He pointed out that the TMC and the FFC held a lengthy meeting in a spirit of responsibility and partnership, in the Republican Palace during which they discussed the procedure for forming the Sovereignty Council.
He said that the two sides have affirmed their commitment to the timing for the formation of the Transitional authority structures declared in the Matrix attached to the Constitutional Document.
Lt. Gen. Kabbashi indicated that each party has handed over the names of its five candidates for the Sovereignty Council, explaining that they agreed on the personality No. 11 for membership of the council.
He pointed out that the FFC retreated from the nomination of some of the names that they had submitted on membership of the Sovereignty Council and requested that they be given 48 hours to submit their final list of candidates for membership of the Sovereignty Council.
